Looking back to the future!

Happy New Year! May this year be filled with God’s blessings and abundant grace, amen.
As we reflect on the past in order to construct the future, we must not miss the essentials. The old must give way to the new!

“Neither do men put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” (Matthew 9:17).

First things first. Christ must be at the center of our lives! The calendar has turned to a new year and we are reminded of new beginnings. It’s definitely a time to reflect on the past, let go of regrets, and look forward with hope. But true renewal comes not from resolutions or personal efforts alone—it comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ.

We all face a problem—no matter how hard we try, we often fall short! We carry the weight of mistakes, brokenness, and sin. And these baggage of the past often seek to haunt us down. We all need help. We need the Savior to nudge us on. And this is what He says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing…! (Isaiah 43:18-19). Looking back should only be on the things we did not do well enough and how we can now do better, with God’s help. We shouldn’t dwell on our past shortcomings. We should rather look on to the beautiful plans that God has for our future.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

This New Year, you have the opportunity to start fresh—not just with goals or plans, but with God. He is calling you to turn to Him, trust Him, and allow Him to guide your life.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Admit and confess your sinful past, believe in Christ’s sacrifice and power to give you a new life and commit your life to following Him as your Lord and Savior in this new year. Your Best is yet to come!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, AND HAVE A FRUITFUL 2025.

We’ll be glad to hear from you and to support you in your walk with the Lord. Send us a message right now.
