It is not over yet!

Jairus burst through Capernaum’s crowded shoreline like a man fighting for air. Everyone knew him—head of the synagogue, pillar of the community—but titles meant nothing when his twelve-year-old lay gasping at home. Falling at Jesus’ feet, he begged for what medical wisdom and religious prestige could never give: life.

Jesus agreed to come. Hope rose—then staggered. On the way, a hemorrhaging woman touched the edge of His cloak, halting the procession. Jairus’ servants arrived with the news every parent dreads: “Your daughter is dead; don’t trouble the Teacher.”

Jesus looked straight into the synagogue leader’s broken eyes. “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” The words cut through grief like morning light through shutters. Fear would get no vote in this house.

Inside the bedroom Jesus took the cold hand of the child and whispered, “Little girl, arise.” Spirit met body, breath returned, eyes opened. Then—almost casually—He said, “Give her something to eat.” The miracle and the meal arrived in the same sentence: power to raise, compassion to sustain.

My friend, whatever circumstance or situation you maybe battling now is not your end. Let Jesus step in and save you. It is not over yet. Jesus’ hand is extended to you now, just as it reached for Jairus’ daughter in Luke 8:40-56. Will you trust Him with your life?

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sin and rose to give me new life. I turn from fear and place my faith in You. Forgive me, change me, and live through me. I receive Your gift of salvation today. Amen.
If you prayed that, welcome home. Reach out so we can celebrate with you and help you grow in this new life.
