“ Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12
From the beginning, man was created in God’s image, but Adam’s disobedience brought sin and separation from God. Since then, humanity has been powerless to save itself. Yet God, in His love, sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived among us, died for our sins, and rose again, giving us salvation and reconciliation with God. Along with His sacrifice, He gave us a priceless gift—His Name.
Salvation in His Name
Acts 4:12 declares that no other name can save us. Neither prophets, religions, nor philosophies can give eternal life. When we call upon Jesus in faith, we receive forgiveness and become children of God.
Power in His Name
The power of His name goes beyond salvation. Jesus Himself promised: “Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you” (John 16:23–24). For centuries, people have experienced healing, deliverance, and answered prayers through the name of Jesus.
The Name Above All Names
Why is His name so mighty? Because God has exalted Him above all. “God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:9–11). Every power, problem, and authority must bow to Him.
A Strong Tower for the Righteous
Proverbs 18:10 says: “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” This safety and protection belong to those who have received Jesus and been made righteous through Him. Without Christ, one cannot fully claim this promise.
Your Opportunity Today
If you have not accepted Jesus, you are missing the greatest gift of all. Today, you can surrender your life to Him and enjoy the salvation, protection, and power His name brings. Pray from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for dying for me. I confess my sins and surrender my life to You. Be my Lord and Savior. Send Your Spirit to guide me and help me to live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
