When Light Reveals Beauty
One night, around 3 a.m., I drove along a lonely, dark road. My headlights barely showed the way, and fear filled my heart. But when I passed that same route later in the day, I was amazed—the mountains, the flowing river, and the bright landscape were breathtaking. The light revealed the beauty hidden by darkness.
That’s what light does—it uncovers glory.
God, Our Sun
“The Lord is a sun…” He gives light to all the earth—bringing warmth, life, and color. Without Him, we live in spiritual darkness, full of confusion and fear. But when His light shines in our hearts, clarity comes, and our true purpose is revealed.
Like the moon reflects the sun, we only reflect God’s glory when we walk with Him. Without His presence, our light fades. When He turns His face toward us, we shine; when He hides it, darkness returns.
God, Our Shield
The verse also says, “The Lord is a shield.” The same God who enlightens us also protects us. His presence guards us from harm and gives us peace. Truly, “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1).
Walk in His Light
Life without God is like a dark road—uncertain and fearful. But when Jesus enters your heart, His light transforms your path. He reveals your beauty, worth, and purpose.
Prayer of Surrender:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Light of the world. Forgive my sins and shine Your light into my heart. Be my Sun and my Shield. Protect me, guide me, and let my life reflect Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
