The Ready Bride: Are You Prepared for the Ultimate Wedding?

“Let us be glad and rejoice… for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.” — Revelation 19:7

In almost every culture around the world, a wedding is a massive event. We see the elaborate ceremonies, the beautiful venues, and the celebration. But what is even more elaborate is the preparation for “The Big Day.”

Couples often spend months, or even years, planning every detail. They go all out—sparing no expense or effort—to ensure everything is perfect for the moment they say, “I do.”

Regrettably, the most important union in history—the union between Christ and His Bride (the Church)—is often treated with far less attention. We spend a lifetime preparing for earthly events, but are we preparing for eternity?

Jesus Is Coming for a Ready Bride

There is a common misconception that we can get right with God “later.” But Scripture is clear: Jesus is not coming back to help His Bride get ready; He is coming back for a Bride who is already prepared.

As Jesus warned in the Parable of the Ten Virgins:

“And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.” (Matthew 25:10)

Who Is the Ready Bride?

A Ready Bride is simply someone who is born again (fully surrendered to Jesus), obedient to His Word, and constantly watchful for His return. If you do not fall into this category, decide now —for no one knows the day or hour the Savior will appear, and the door will not stay open forever.

Make Yourself Ready Now

If you desire to be ready for Christ’s coming, pray this sincerely from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I repent of all my sins. Wash me with Your precious blood. Come into my heart and rule my life. I surrender myself completely to You. Help me to live in holiness, watchfulness, and obedience. Prepare me as part of Your Ready Bride. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
