Every person, at one point or another, encounters challenges that go beyond ordinary human strength and wisdom. Some battles are plainly visible requiring physical engagement to win, but many battles are invisible/spiritual that cannot be explained by human logic and physical causes alone.
The Bible teaches us that there are two realms: the seen and the unseen. Scripture says:
“While we look not at the things which are seen… for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)
That is why many people feel powerless when they face certain attacks in their health, finance, career and other aspects of life in general: because some battles are not merely natural; they are spiritual.
The Word of God explains it plainly:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against… spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
So when a battle is spiritual, fighting it with only physical strategies is futile. This is where Psalm 91 becomes deeply important. The psalm begins with a promise:
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalm 91:1)
To “dwell” is not to visit occasionally, it is to remain, to live there, to make God your refuge. And one major result of abiding under God’s covering is freedom from fear and divine protection even when dangers are present:
“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.” (Psalm 91:5–6)
God does not deny that terrors, arrows, pestilence, and destruction exist, but He promises that the one who abides in Him will not live under their control, because the Lord Himself becomes that person’s defense.
My friend, if you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, understand this: the devil is not passive. The Bible warns:
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil… walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)
But the good news is this: Jesus saves, delivers, and secures. When you come to Christ, you come under His lordship, His protection, and His power. And no matter what challenge comes, visible or invisible, you have this assurance: the Lord will fight for you and keep you.
If you are ready, turn to Jesus today. Repent, believe the gospel, and call on Him sincerely. He is able to save to the uttermost and preserve all who come to God through Him.
God bless you.
