GOD’S BUILDING

“Every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of all things.” — Epistle to the Hebrews 3:4

Standing beside any of the world’s most beautiful and towering edifices, one cannot help but ask the inner question: “Who built this, and how was it achieved?”

There is no doubt that science and technology have advanced greatly, producing new architectural and engineering feats every day. But the question we often overlook is: “How long will these structures remain?”

Temporary! That was Jesus’ answer. In the Gospel of Mark 13:1–2, the disciples marveled at the architectural wonders of their time, but Jesus’ response points beyond these things—to a different kind of building that can truly stand the test of time.

In the Gospel of Matthew 16:18, Jesus boldly declares:
I will build…and infernal forces will be helpless about it!

God is building a church. He is building a kingdom. He is building a people. And yes—He is building you!

If human beings, through science, can accomplish rock-solid feats, how much more can God achieve by His infinite wisdom and power?

Yet God invites us to participate in building what is eternal. For too long, we have invested our time, energy, and resources in what is temporary and ephemeral. It is time to partner with God in building what will last forever.

What will you contribute to God’s building today?

It is never too late to begin. Start by fully submitting your life to Him. As He shapes and molds you, you become better equipped to build with Him.

Look around you today and identify a person, a church, or a group to whom you can meaningfully give your time, energy, and resources. Then rejoice, because you are God’s building—and you are also actively involved in His building.

Blessings.
