We often love to gaze at the starry night sky and treat ourselves to its beauty. The arrangement, the constellations, their splendour, and above all, their brilliance! It is always a captivating sight to behold these luminous creations fulfilling their God-ordained assignment—radiating light and beauty to the world.
In the same way, believers in Christ are meant to shine and reflect God’s glory to the world so that “your light may shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
We reflect God to our world through our love, our character and conduct, and the fruit of the Spirit manifested in our lives—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).
Christians must, by every means , lead people to Jesus . That is one of our primary callings. The star in Matthew 2:9 led the wise men from the East to the place where Jesus was. Likewise, we must make it our daily duty to point others to Christ—through evangelism, intercession, love, good works, our spiritual gifts, the fruit of the Spirit, and our godly influence.
If you are not yet born again, you can come into the Light today. Confess your sins, receive Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Saviour, and begin to shine for His radiant Majesty.
Stay in the Light, and keep being the star the world longs to see.
God bless you.
