Imagine boarding an aeroplane, trusting the pilot to take you safely to your destination, only to discover that he has a contrary motive. What a tragedy!
This is how Satan operates. He presents himself through attractive systems, philosophies, ideologies, entertainment and worldly pleasures, all designed to draw humanity away from God. His methods may appear harmless, progressive or liberating, but his ultimate agenda remains destruction, as evident in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…”
THE ENEMY HAS AN AGENDA
Satan’s mission is to steal, kill and destroy. He packages deception as freedom, rebellion as independence and sin as enjoyment. His ultimate goal is to lead humanity away from God.
NOT EVERY ATTRACTIVE PLANE IS HEADING TO THE RIGHT DESTINATION
Many worldly systems and philosophies appear harmless or beneficial but subtly promote values contrary to God’s Word. The danger is that people may enjoy the journey without questioning who is steering the ship or where it is headed.
DON’T ALLOW THE ENEMY TO TAKE THE HELM
The devil seeks to influence our thoughts, choices and lifestyles. Therefore, Scripture warns us to be sober and vigilant (1 Peter 5:8). We must examine the values we embrace and the voices we allow to shape our lives.
JESUS IS THE CAPTAIN YOU NEED
Unlike Satan, Jesus Christ, the Captain of our salvation (Hebrews 2:10), leads us towards life, not destruction. He offers forgiveness, freedom and eternal life to all who trust in Him.
Do not be deceived by the attractiveness of the ship; examine the pilot and the destination! Who is steering your life? Whose values are shaping your decisions?
Surrender the helm of your life to Jesus Christ. Do not allow the enemy to determine your eternal destination.
Prayer : Lord Jesus, deliver me from Satan’s deception and every system designed to draw me away from You. Take charge of my life and lead me in the path of eternal life. Amen.
