Sometimes it feels like nobody really gets it, even when those who care about you are around; everything still feels empty, and no one can understand your state of mind.
But through some of those seasons, one of the greatest gifts of having the Holy Spirit is knowing that you are never truly alone.
Jesus promised the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, who would always remain with us to teach and guide God’s children. In such moments of confusion and loneliness, the only person who can comfort and understand our minds is the Holy Spirit.
This does not mean you will never desire human companionship. But there is a place in the human heart that only God can fill .
So, my friend, if you are going through a lonely season, you do not have to carry everything by yourself. Draw closer to God. Talk to Him honestly. Invite the Holy Spirit into the ordinary moments of your day. And if you have never surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, this may be a beautiful place to begin.
You can simply tell Him:
“Jesus, I surrender my life to You. I need You. Forgive me, come into my life, and lead me. I want to know You, walk with You, and experience Your presence. Fill me with Your Spirit and help me to live for You.”
