“Contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude 1:3
In every generation, the truth of God’s Word faces opposition. Some reject it openly; others subtly alter it until the truth becomes difficult to recognise. In such a time, God calls His people not merely to believe the faith, but to stand for it.
To be a defender of the faith does not mean fighting people. It means standing firmly for the truth of Scripture, with love, wisdom, courage and integrity.
The Bible says, “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth.” Ephesians 6:14
A defender of the faith must know the truth, live the truth and speak the truth in love. We must be rooted in God’s Word and let our lives reflect the Christ we profess.
We are called to defend the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Saviour of the world; that He died for our sins and rose again; that salvation is found in Him; and that He is coming again.
When truth is unpopular, will you still stand?
When compromise is easier, will you remain faithful?
When your faith is challenged, will you respond with truth and love?
“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:13–14
HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST?
You cannot truly defend the faith without first knowing Christ. Turn from sin, believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as your Lord and Savior.
